LURPA > Previous organization

Laboratory organization until end of 2019

The research activities are conducted in LURPA by 17 researchers, 24 PhD students, 1 Postdoctoral research assistant and 4 adminitrative staff.

On the organizational point of view, we are structured into two teams:
  • Geo3D team: Three-dimensional Geometry of mechanical parts and mechanisms
  • ISA team: Automated Systems Engineering

Research Topics

Geo3D team: Three-dimensional Geometry of mechanical parts and mechanisms
The researches of the Geo3D team consist in ensuring the correct operation of the polyarticulated complex systems and assemblies, taking into account the impact ofdeviations such as geometrical interfaces between components on the design requirements.
  • Dimensioning and geometric tolerancing
  • Geometric quality of machined parts
  • Shape acquisition and identification
  • Integrated design of products and processes

ISA team: Automated Systems Engineering
Research topics: Dependable Control of Discrete event Systems
  • Objective: to develop methods, models and tools that improve design, implementation and operation of mainly discrete control systems, so as to increase the overall dependability.
  • Targets: from basic embedded logic controller to networked automation systems
  • Application fields: critical systems (energy, goods production, transport, complex mechatronic systems)
  • Keywords: DES, dependability, formal methods, algebraic methods, networked control systems
